Wagtail was established in 1993 by inventor and window cleaner Willie Erken. Wagtail is dedicated to designing innovative cleaning equipment for professionals and household use.

Willie 'Wagtail' Erken Willie Erken is the Managing Director of Wagtail Cleaning Tools. Willie was a professional cleaner for more than 20 years in shopfront, domestic and highrise window cleaning. As he and his employees developed muscle strain and carpal tunnel syndrome due to the weight and design of window cleaning tools, he recognised the need for lighter, faster and more ergonomically designed tools. Wagtail tools were invented and developed to meet these needs.
